The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office said they were involved in a high-angle rescue in Garretson.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Palisades State Park in Garretson when authorities were called to help in the high-angle rescue of an individual, according to a release by the MCSO.
The subject fell 30 feet off a cliff and was still 60 feet off the ground, according to scanner traffic.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue were able to successfully stabilize the individual and brought them to safety where they received medical attention, the release said.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue, Garretson Fire and Ambulance, and the Department of Emergency Management were also dispatched to help in the high-angle rescue.
The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office thanked all the other agencies who assisted in the safe recovery in the release.
