RAPID CITY, S.D. — Suspects of a stolen vehicle lost control of their vehicle, before it flipped upside down Thursday night in the area near the Executive Golf Course in Rapid City.
According to Rapid City Police Department Community Relations Specialist, Brendyn Medina, police responded to a report of a robbery in the 900 block of E. North Street. From the reporting party, they received a description of a vehicle involved in the reported robbery.
A short time later, police located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle in the robbery and attempted to stop it. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, which didn’t stop and led officers on a pursuit.
The vehicle lost control and crashed near the Executive Golf Course and I-190. Police later determined that the vehicle was stolen but wasn’t involved in the original robbery call.
Police say that two occupants of the vehicle were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. A third occupant fled the scene of the crash but was later located by police.
