19-year old man injured in shooting in southeastern Sioux Falls

A 19-year old man was shot and has life-threatening injuries after a shooting was reported Thursday afternoon in southeastern Sioux Falls.

Police were called to the shooting around 1:45 p.m. at a Walgreens parking lot near 57th Street and Cliff Avenue after a report of 10 shots were fired from a vehicle, according to scanner traffic. 

The victim was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, Sgt. Joel Dalton said. 

The suspect was last seen driving eastbound on 57th Street in a blue sedan with tinted windows, according to scanner traffic, though police did not confirm any details about a suspect.

Dalton said there is no danger to the public at this time.
