A new restaurant in northern Sioux Falls’ entertainment district is offering a patriotic spin on American classics as part of a nonprofit military advocacy group.
The Patriot Grill opened this spring as part of the Military Heritage Alliance, located in the former Badlands Pawn building at 1600 Russell St., just behind the Denny Sanford Premier Center.
After expanding its menu in June, the grill offers a variety of lunch and dinner options, plus South Dakota favorites such as chislic.
The Patriot Grill serves a selection of burgers, sandwiches, appetizers and dinner entrées, such as its blackened filet mignon and grilled salmon. Meals are also available for delivery via DoorDash.
The nonprofit Military Heritage Alliance bought the old Badlands building last year and opened the revamped space this spring, bringing together a number of local groups and agencies serving military members and veterans. Groups that worked with the Alliance in acquiring and making plans to relocate to the building include the VFW and American Legion, which put its former building up for sale.
Hours for the Patriot Grill:
- 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday
- 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday
