No one injured in central Sioux Falls house fire

No one was injured in a central Sioux Falls house fire on Monday afternoon, authorities say.

Crews responded to a report of a structure fire around 1:30 p.m. on Monday on the 1100 block of North Minnesota Avenue. All occupants and pets were evacuated from the structure before crews arrived on scene, according to a news release from Sioux Falls Fire Rescue.

Fire fighters knocked down the fire in about 10 minutes on scene and confined it to the kitchen, according to the news release. The home sustained significant smoke and heat damage to the main floor.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
